Exhibition Opening Night

Opening night for Colchester’s first Street art show was huge success, with close to 200 people through the door first evening followed by an additional 50 over the weekend.

This, my first time curating an Exhibition group show and definitely not the last.

My goal was to bring street art to a wider audience and give an insight into how artwork is painted on the streets plus a back story behind each artist and their work. A large screen TV plays Videos of each artist busy at work interwoven with awesome “work in progress” photos by Faye Cooper (aka) StreetArtAtlas. Glass top cabinets display rare personal items from artist studios, such as used stencils, sketch book pages, scrap books, stickers and past show flyers along with intresting photos

The show features Artwork from: My Dog Sighs, Snub 23, Sprite, Si Mitchell, Background Bob, Airborne mark, Eyesaw

Show runs until the 28th October. . Direct train from Liverpool st station Less than an hour.

Location:
The Minories gallery
74 High St,
